Cambodia Visa on Arrival

Dear students,

Hello from Bangkok, where we recently celebrated the Chinese lunar new year with our Program Director Jess’s family! (Our team is on the left in the photo, that’s the Indonesia instructor team on the right.) We will be heading to Phnom Penh tomorrow (Feb 7) to prepare for your arrival on Saturday.

We wanted to share some tips for applying for your Cambodia Visa on Arrival. Ignore this note if you have applied for a Cambodian eVisa in advance.

You will be applying for a one month, single-entry tourist (T) visa.

  • Upon arriving, head to the “Visa on Arrival” counter. Get a copy of the application form and fill it out.
  • Please note that your intended purpose of travel is tourism; Dragons cannot provide visas for study or any other purpose.
  • The visa should cost $30 USD–please bring cash with you! .
  • You will need 1 current passport-size photo.
  • Don’t worry too much about providing super-specific information, but here are some notes:
    • If asked for departure date, please say March 6, 2019.
    • If asked where we will be staying in Cambodia, you may write “Starwood Inn, Phnom Penh.” Don’t worry about giving a specific address.
    • Phone number: +855 23 666 6495
  • After filling out the application form, get in line to submit your documents. After submitting documents, you will go to another line to pay the visa fee and pick up your passport (with the visa inside).

For those of you traveling with the group, we will be tracking your flight and will pick you up at the airport. The Phnom Penh airport is quite small and there is only one exit. You will see us there in our Dragons T-shirts! Please wear your Dragons T-shirts as well for easy identification. For those not traveling with the group, we have sent emails to you separately.

We (your instructors) are not responsible for organizing student travel prior to the course start, so please contact the Dragons office if you have any questions during your travels. The office’s contact information can be found on the Departure Day Details & Reminders post on this Yak board.

See you very soon!

Madeleine, Jeff, and Guy.
