First Impressions of Bolivia!

Ella: I have been blown away by the diversity of the things we have seen and experienced in Bolivia after only a few days. I look forward to exploring and connecting more deeply with this beautiful country.

Fiona: I have really loved how kind and friendly people have been. I am looking forward to improving my Spanish so as to improve my ability to interact with locals.

Catarina: What has stood out to me about Bolivia so far is the richness of the culture and the diversity of the landscape. I cannot wait to discover more!

Abi: Bolivia is an extremely peaceful place that already feels like home. Our group has become a small family so quickly, and I’m excited for what the future holds.

Lila: I’ve loved learning about Bolivia’s diversity; the country has such a rich variety of peoples, climates, plants, fruit, and landscapes. Bolivia is “chalita,” and I’m excited to explore it more!

Audrey: I’m struck by the vastness of Bolivia. From the mountains and valleys to the cities and pueblos, Bolivia feels like the place to be to explore a new culture.

Sarah: I’m constantly amazed by the strong cultural pride I’ve noticed everywhere in Bolivia. Bolivia has given so much to the world, and I’ve loved learning so deeply about its history.

Chris: From Veronica at orientation, to our trek guide Crispin, I have been pleasantly surprised at how kind and welcoming all the Bolivian people have been to us.

Eoin: I was fascinated by the strength and pride of Bolivian culture. Although cities may be separated by large mountain ranges and ecological climate, the people I’ve met so far don’t seem to forget where they come from.

Sage: From a purely geographical standpoint, Bolivia appears other worldly. While trekking, it seemed like every corner we turned revealed an entirely new landscape, whether it was jagged peaks or a meadow that looked like it was from the opening scene of the Sound of Music.

Meagan: The people here speak so beautifully about their country. It is such a joy to see their eyes light up when they share about their tradition or community. I have loved connecting with those who live in a culture so drastically different from my own, and I look forward to learning more about this new world.

Barrett: I have especially loved the beautiful landscapes of Bolivia. My experience here has been so wonderful so far, because of all the wonderful people in our group and the people who have helped us along the way.
