Self Standing Mosquito Nets

Hello Senegal: Music & Mysticism participants! We are eagerly awaiting the start of your program. As you pack your bags we wanted to send a note regarding self standing mosquito nets. A lot of participants really enjoy having these in Senegal as they are completely enclosed and therefore protect from mosquitos as well as other critters, and overall often just provide a sense of contained safety that helps people to sleep well.

Below you’ll find a description:

SELF-STANDING MOSQUITO NET: This is essential gear for comfort in Senegal. We recommend a self-standing net (which is like a tent) that does not need to be tied at each of the corners. Mombasa Bug Top Pro 2 Tent is the most highly recommended by students and instructors. It’s easy and quick to put up and is self-standing and costs approximately $100 at REI.

Let us know if you have any questions! And please feel free to post questions and musings here on the Yak board for your (very small group of adventurous ladies!) to benefit from.

With excitement for the journey to come,

Megan
