Why We Travel Response

“Yet for me the first great joy of traveling is simply the luxury of leaving all my beliefs and certainties at home, and seeing everything I thought I knew in a different light, and from a crooked angle.” This really should be what people live by when they travel. When he says to look at everything in a different light what I think he means is to try something new. When you can try more new things you have gotten to the point where looking at something in a crooked angle isn’t nesisary. When going on Guatemala everyone is going to look at stuff in a crooked angle at the start. Then maybe by the end of the trip almost all of us can look at it like it is normal.
