Hola friends and family!!
Yesterday we settled in to our orientation site at the Finca Protectora in Ranchete. We were warmly greeted by our hosts Mario and Raquel. As well as a farm covered by avocado trees, cacao and banana plants. One can appreciate the whole valley from where the farm is perched. We enjoyed a really pretty sunset and ate a wonderful meal cooked by María Josefina, Mario’s wife. We enjoyed the cool of the evening after a hot afternoon ride from Santiago.
Today we got a chance to enjoy a caye by taking a boat and also the mangrove that covers more than 130 km of coast until the boarder of Haiti to the north.
We’ve shared some pictures that we hope you enjoy. Now we are headed back to the finca to do some orientation activities.
