The Necessity of Change

“We travel, then, in part just to shake up our complacencies by seeing all the moral and political urgencies, the life-and-death dilemmas, that we seldom have to face at home” (Pico Iyer)

I find this quote to be interesting because it speaks out against I argument that I find interesting. People often mistake travel as away to get out of there daily routine as if there daily routine is some sort of prison and leaving is your only freedom. People seem to always say that you only live once and while alive you must see the world and travel. Although I believe that seeing the world is necesary but it must be done for the right reasons. I believe that I your daily routine there is beauty that is over looked and must be appreciated.  You can live  a wonderful life your home and fulfill your heart so that you may have lived and that once was enough. Travel needs to not be seen as a way to escape or to fulfill but as away to learn and understand why. The largest question known to man is why and it can only be answered through travel both internally and externally.
