My name is Alan and I will be one of the instructors for the Climate Change Educator Program. A bit about me: I come from a little mining community here in the Andes and lived there pretty much all my childhood. I had to move to Cochabamba to finish high school and then when to Sucre city to study tourism, culture, and languages; I speak Spanish, Quechua, English and French. I have been working for Dragons since 2011 for both summer and semester programs here in the Andes and Amazon and I led a semester program in Central America in 2017. When not working with Dragons I am managing Condor Cafe, a Vegetarian cafe in Sucre city.
I am very excited for this program, first, because this is going to be my first educator program and second, because we will be visiting awesome places, getting to know incredible people while doing the home-stays with our lovely host families in Tiquipaya, the collective women organization in the huertos urbanos and agroecology in Sucre, the Artist of Teatro Trono in el Alto- La paz, the Apus (Mountain spirits ) and the gorgeous landscape of the Andes, and much much more to explore, during our time in Bolivia. I am sure that it is going to be a memorable journey for all of us!!!
Nos vemos en un mes!!!
