Final days

We are on our last leg of our journey…we wake up to sounds of cows, dogs, birds and monks chanting while we are staying together at the Deerpark ashram. Bir is a Tibetan colony, land set aside by India to allow the refugees in exile a place to cultivate. Here students are learning about rural community development, buddhism, farm work, all while eating and washing dishes alongside the monks. Today we move back towards more development, Dharamshala, where we will have our final days together before heading out to Delhi for the flight home. Students may struggle to explain what they experienced while in India, be patient with them… it has been a long journey, and it may take a while to unpack it.
