Goodbyes to host families

Hi parents!
Yesterday afternoon we went to the hammam with our host family, which is a traditional Moroccan bathhouse.  It was a great bonding experience!!!  Next, we headed to our host aunt’s house for some snacks with the whole host family.  The house was gorgeous and we had a yummy chocolate bread.  Afterward, we returned home and a family friend did henna on everyone’s hands; they are so beautiful. Definitely one of our favorite memories from our homestay.  Our favorite design is either a flower or a butterfly, and we think that it is so cool that she made up the designs on the spot.  We got a good night’s rest and woke up to a delicious breakfast with tea that we will miss greatly, but luckily we learned how to make it.  Our host aunt came over with tkshetas (fancy Moroccan dresses) and we tried on all of them! It was like a fashion show and we took a lot of pictures that we can’t wait to show you. Afterward, we met back up with the group at Iacha’s house (host family coordinator) to commemorate our last day with our host families.  We are so grateful that she paired us with our amazing family, but sad we have to leave :(.  It was fun to introduce our host sister to everyone.  Then we went back to the house and spent a great last night with the host family.  Hakima, our host mom, made us excellent orange juice as a dessert.  We are going to miss them so much and are very sad to leave but are excited for days to come in Fez. Bislama!!
