Maggie’s Yak

Hola Families!

Wow oh wow what a crazy first part of our time in Bolivia it has been! Our 2 day trek was much more difficult than we thought it would be, or at least me, but we made it and I couldn’t be more proud of myself and the group. Some of us decided to take the more difficult route of going to a cave with paintings 3,000 years old, my self included, and had to climb, up the side of a mountain. Last night, 9 of us brave souls decided to sleep outside under the twinkling stars only to awake to ice covering all of our sleeping bags and all of our other stuff. I made the mistake of leaving my pack open, so I woke up to ice on every thing I brought. Though it was freezing, it was by far one of the best experiences I have had so far in Bolivia getting to see all of the constellations and Jupiter. We are currently on our overnight bus to Cochabamba where we will have our home-stays in Tiquipaya, which we are all very very excited for. That’s all for my yak, but stay tuned for more!

Adios,

Maggie
P.S. I miss you mom, dad, miller, and especially Scout since we’re not allowed to touch any animals so I am going crazy because I can’t pet them and give them love.
