Today we head back to Delhi after experiencing the chaos and beauty of Varanasi. At first, the daunting task of wandering the streets alone seemed to be unachievable as vehicles rarely acknowledged pedestrians. But after our 5 days, the sound of honks was almost calming and fazed us very little. Although the heat was very overwhelming (averaging at about 110 degrees!) it allowed us to meet new people including the legendary Ravi who showed us Varanasi like no one else could have. Soon we will be in Dharamsala where the mountain air will hopefully provide us with a refreshing temperature and clean air. We are all doing very well and miss home very much… only two more weeks left.
