As I leave Nepal… I want you know that…

Namaste friends and families!

During our transference in Pharping, we talked about going home – what it means, what to expect, how to make sense of this summer in Nepal. We want to thank you to all families and friends for your support in making this summer a great success! The following is a collection of responses from all students, for what they need YOU to know

1. As I leave Nepal, I…
As I leave Nepal, I will miss my Sangha
As I leave Nepal, I leave with open eyes and an open mind
As I leave Nepal, I feel that I’ve found my second home
As I leave Nepal, I will miss the experience but cherish my memories everyday
As I leave Nepal, I will miss not having my phone
As I leave Nepal, I will miss being dirty
As I leave Nepal, I am sad to go but I feel that I have been here long enough and I’m ready to go home
As I leave Nepal, I feel as if I have gone through fire – I am forever changed
As I leave Nepal, I feel excited to see my family but sad to leave this beautiful place
As I leave Nepal, I hope I never forget the memories I have made

2. I want you to know that…
I want you to know that as I return home Nepal will forever remain in my heart
I want you to know that I have missed you a lot
I want you to know that Nepal changed my life
I want you to know that I will never ever be the same and that Nepal will be in my soul forever
I want you to know that we had fun
I want you to know that I am very grateful to have been able to come on such an amazing trip
I want you to know that I’ve had fun, but I really miss home and the two of you
I want you to know that Nepal is a fire, nobody can go into this experience and come out unchanged
I want you to know that Ali Ali Nepali ho
I want you to know that I learned a lot

Thank you again to all the families and friends! Namaste!
