We recently got off the bus going from Puerto Maldonado to Cusco, which involved lots of turns and bumps from winding roads. Right before this, we spent three days in an indigenous community called Boca Pariamanu. In these three days, we spent time exploring the area, eating delicious foods, and meeting the people in the community. Boca is located right next to the Amazon river, so we got to spend time fishing, looking for alligators, and seeing the beautiful stars at night. During our stay, we spent nights in homes of the people in Boca, and were able to bond with them despite any language barrier. Overall, I was glad to have this experience and I was so sad to leave Boca, but I am really excited to explore Cusco and have fun.
