Hola Familia y Amigos,
Today was a busy day running around the city of Sucre, picking up last minute items and buying food from local markets for our upcoming trek. We just met with our guides from Condor Trekkers to learn more about the route we will be taking over the next few days in the Cordillera los Frailes. We will be trekking starting today, the 3rd, and finishing on Friday the 5th. When we get back to Sucre we have a quick turnaround to take a bus to Cochabamba where we will start homestays and the next phase of our journey.
The student group is doing great and really coming together as a team to make this experience happen! We were able to settle in during orientation and get to know one another, learn about the itinerary, and how to work together to overcome challenges as they arise. Our orientation site was an incredible ecolodge, Aritumayu, nestled in a valley above Sucre. It is run by a family who has focused on ecotourism and reforestation of the area. Please enjoy these photos of our group over the last few days.
¡Fuertes abrazos de Bolivia!
