After two fun-filled days in Gundu, working in the fields and talking about ideas of service and development, we have shifted to our next destination, the Tibetan Buddhist monastery called Namo Buddha, where we are undertaking a three-day retreat. We will be studying under the guidance of a khenpo, or monk-scholar, about the Buddhist teachings and meditation, as well as taking lots of time to reflect and relax a bit at the end of our exciting first week in Nepal. Although we are focusing on looking into our own minds, we are also enjoying lots of group time, taking in beautiful views of the surrounding hills, and eating lots of tasty Tibetan food!
Sending all our love and gratitude,
