Hi! I’m Heather. I’ve been looking forward to this trip for 12 years; My daughter took a gap year program to Nepal and I’ve wanted to go ever since. In just 3 1/2 weeks I’ll finally be there! By way of introduction, I sing with a local choral group, direct my church choir, enjoy walking in my lovely small town, am a parent to 2 grown children and am the Director of our local Council on Aging/Senior Center. I am excited to be immersed in a new culture and learn all I can. I’m also looking forward to taking a step back from my usual routine and think about my place in the world and what possibilities lie ahead of me. I’m also looking forward to meeting my fellow travelers on this journey, hearing your stories and working together. Shannon, As I sit in this crazy heat of western MA, I am wondering if we indeed need to bring a winter parka, long underwear, hat and gloves. Temperatures in Kdu seem to be in the mid 70’s with humidity from 84%-100%. Hope to see posts from everyone else soon.
