大家好！Today, After our usual morning language classes we drove up to a Tibetan-Buddhist temple to understand and see another part of Chinese culture up close. our instructors taught us about six important Buddhist symbols and their values. We were then able to identify these symbols around the temple. The symbols include: The Treasure Vase, Lotus Flower, The Wheel, The Banner, The Endless and Glorious Knot, and The Matsyayugma (Coupled Fish). Each symbol represents a unique and different way for Buddhists to express themselves and their religion. It was fun to look for those symbols in different relics and paintings. Overall, The temple gave us great insight into a different part of Chinese Culture and was also a great team bonding experience.
