Hi everyone,
We just got a question as to whether students should bring Diamox for altitude sickness. You are welcome to do so, but that depends on your preference and it is no way a requirement. Many students choose to get a prescription to take Diamox either prophylactically before going up in altitude or as a treatment for symptoms of altitude illness. This is a medication that our instructors carry in their med bag, and it is also available easily and cheaply in Nepal. I hope this helps to answer that question for everyone!
