Hey everyone! It’s been awesome reading all of your intros, and with each one I’m becoming more and more excited to meet you all and embark on our adventure. My name is Savanna, and I live in Boulder, Colorado. Before moving to Boulder nine years ago, I spent my early childhood riding horses, fishing, and adventuring on our family ranch in Western Colorado. We still visit in the summer, but Boulder was home for the latter half of my upbringing. I graduated from high school this past May, and though I enjoyed my four years of musical performances, seemingly endless studying, and student led cheers at football games, I’m ready for a new chapter. Ever since I was little I have loved to travel; immersing oneself in different cultures, exploring new places, and creating bonds that can last a lifetime are some of the most valuable experiences I can imagine, and I can’t wait to share them with all of you. I’ve been really lucky as to have traveled to many places with my family, including several parts of South America, Europe, Africa, and New Zealand, but Asia has remained on my bucket list. That was one of the reasons, among quite a few others, that I was drawn to the program in Indonesia. I can only imagine how much this journey is going to shape us. I hope you all enjoy your last few weeks at home, and I can’t wait to meet you all soon!
