We came together last night in celebration of our time in Patan and the families who have so graciously hosted us. It was truly beautiful to witness the connection that participants felt with their Nepali brothers and sisters after just 4 days. With traditional music playing and delicious food to eat, we continued to share stories and laughter with one another, lamenting that our time together had passed too quickly. Not only did our families open their homes to members of our group, but they opened their studios, sharing the trade that has been passed on for generations in their family. Participants were able to study stone carving, wood carving and thangka painting, as well as try their hand at making Nepali cuisine. It has truly been a wonderful 4 days here of deep learning, engagement and fun.
