Hi everyone! My name is Diana and I live in San Francisco, California. I really enjoy drawing/painting, reading, exploring new places, and being with friends and family. This summer I’ve spent most of my time with my friends, seeing them (and SF) as much as possible before we all go our separate ways. As hard as it’s been to say goodbye, I can’t wait to get out of the routine I’ve been stuck in basically all my life and experience a new part of the world.
I’m excited for all aspects of the Nepal trip, but I am super eager to stay in the monastery and learn more about the spirituality and religions of Nepal. Growing up, religion was never a big part of my life or my family’s, and I really want to learn about how religion impacts the daily lives of people in Nepal. I’m really excited for the trekking as well, and I’m psyched to put my super-fashionable long underwear to use.
I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing in the spring, but I know I want to travel, meet new people, and learn new things. Hopefully, going to Nepal will give me a little bit more insight into the specifics of what I want to do next. If anyone ever wants to talk to me about their plans after Nepal, I would love a little inspiration for my own planning.
I can’t wait to meet and get to know all of you guys. See you soon!
