Hey everyone!

I’m Molly, and I’m from New Jersey (about 35 minutes from NYC). I’m super excited to be joining you all on a gap semester before starting as a “feb” at Middlebury College in February.

I’ve enjoyed studying Spanish/Hispanic culture since the beginning of middle school and have never been to South America, so the Andes & Amazon trip felt like the perfect way to spend my time off from school.

I love watching crime shows (I’m currently watching Narcos) reading memoirs, writing, running, doing yoga, and hanging out with friends, and I also spend way too much time researching/daydreaming about beautiful places to visit around the world, which is one of the main reasons I chose to take a gap semester.

Academically, I’m interested in a bunch of different stuff (primarily global health, public policy, and linguistics), and I’m hoping to learn more about how culture and local economies shape access to healthcare in Bolivia and Peru. I’m also a big reproductive health advocate (I spent the summer interning at a reproductive medicine practice), so I’m looking forward to seeing how the communities we interact with talk about and manage fertility, periods, and all that good stuff.

While summer has been a much-needed break, I’m ready to be somewhere new and can’t wait to meet all of you in Miami in two weeks!

See ya soon!

Molly 🙂
