Hello my fellow Dragons,
My name is Randall and I will be one of your instructors throughout the Andes and the Amazon this Fall. I am originally from Australia but I spend most of my life living and working around the world. I am currently in Portugal visiting friends after just finishing a Dragons summer program in Guatemala.
I graduated from university as a land surveyor but my desire to work more with people led me towards tourism and then towards education. That and my love of travel led me towards Dragons.
I spent the best part of 4 years living in Guatemala before I moved to Bolivia, where I have been based for most of the last 10 years. I established my own project there which consists of Condor Trekkers and Condor Cafe in the beautiful, former capital city of Sucre.
My project introduced me to Dragons and we have worked together for the last 6 years. I love the concept of leading student groups throughout countries quite different from their own and so in 2017, I decided that I wanted to work for Dragons.
Bolivia and Peru are both incredibly beautiful countries with incredibly rich culture. I have travelled extensively throughout both countries and I am very excited to be able to share with you these countries that have affected me so greatly. My experiences there changed my life significantly.
I’m sure your adventure with Dragons and with South America will change you as well. I look forward to meeting you all and please don’t hesitate to write to me with any questions that you may have.
The photo is of me preparing to climb Huayna Potosi in Bolivia.
