Hi everyone! I’m Jacqueline. Pictured above is me the way I expect you’ll get to know me: wearing two backpacks and smiling in the rain.
Here’s a bit about me:
I’m originally from Pittsburgh, PA, but I’ve lived most of my life in Bethesda, Maryland, about 10 minutes from DC. I like where I live because it’s very culturally diverse; that diversity in perspective is also something I’m looking forward to in Indonesia. I love exploring different perspectives, philosophies, and religions.
Another similarity between the two places is the climate – this summer, where I live, it’s been between 80 and 100 degrees and 80-90% humidity! Hopefully that will hope me adjust to the Jogja weather.
In high school, I focused on my interests in music (I play clarinet) and debate.
My hobbies include reading, writing, listening to a variety of music, astronomy, nature, cooking, and photography. I hope to continue some of this stuff in Indonesia and try tons of new things!
I look forward to meeting you all!
