Hello everyone. My name is Jesus Arroyo and I come from La Puente California, just a few miles from LA. I grew up in a family of eight with my parents, three older brothers, and two younger sisters. My childhood was filled with trips to our parent’s hometowns in Mexico every summer. It was through these long road trips where my curiosity for the unknown grew. Since then I’ve dedicated most of my time to my studies and have gotten the opportunity to visit

I decided to apply to the Bridge Year Program primarily to develop as an individual. I hope to learn lessons/skills that will benefit me and my future studies at Princeton, and I wish to one day share them with those around me. I am looking forward to learning more about Chinese culture and learning mandarin as well. These next 9 months will be challenging, but I’m sure they will be extremely rewarding.

In my personal time, I enjoy listening to soft artist like Jack Johnson and Summer Salt. I also like playing basketball and running. I intend to study psychology and later enter the educational field where I can further help my community and students in need.

I can not wait to start this nine-month journey with you all, and can not wait to make some long-lasting memories!
