Post Trek

Hi all! We just got back from our 3 day trek and are preparing to leave in the next couple days. The trek was beautiful and unlike anything I had ever seen, almost like a high altitude desert, but with colorful mountains, waterfalls, rivers and more. We also had an amazing guide Julio, who was goofy and kind, constantly caring not only for our group but every person that we passed. We saw lots of kids selling weavings and bracelets, and Julio made sure to stop for every one of them. We saved a baby goat who was stranded in the mountains, Cacho, and found a woman in Potolo who wanted to take care of him. The food was also amazing, and each night we ended exhausted but also incredibly fulfilled. In total we walked almost a marathon length (but in altitude!), and all of our calves are sore. Im very grateful for the experience, and am excited to come home to tell you more about it. Lots of love:)
