‘Yo’ from PA

What’s up guys?

I’m Nick Chimicles—a man of many titles the least of which include: traveler, writer, Thoreauvian (Don’t worry, I’m just using that big word to look smart, don’t feel bad if you don’t know what it means. Hell, I barely knew what it meant before I looked it up. I even pasted it in here ’cause I couldn’t figure out how to spell it).

I’m writing from NYC where I’ve been doing an internship for the past month (it’s for a startup called The Rotation, basically Rent The Runway, but streetwear and for dudes). Before that, I was trudging through snow in the Absarokas mountains (part of the Rockies) with another gap year program called NOLS. And before that, I was in high school (lame!).

I’m a writer (can’t you tell?) and I’ve been publishing my work for the past month on this site called Medium. I’ve made about $1 so far, but my profit estimates for 2020 are in the thousands! (not actually).

As Wes said, he and I are hostel-hoppin’ Europe in the spring which’ll be hype. I’m thinking of hiking part of the Pacific Crest trail summer 2020, but not sure yet. Once I check off the gap year, I’m headed to Columbia for 4 years of reading Homer and clubbing and surviving NY snow storms.

Anyway, I’m really looking forward to this trip. I love learning about other cultures, and meeting new and interesting people. Can’t wait to meet y’all, and I hope you enjoyed all the parentheses.
