Hi Everyone!

My name is Piper and I am beyond excited to start our adventure together! I am from Cincinnati, Ohio but to say I was only from Cincinnati would be a great disservice to all the other places I spend a significant amount of time in. I have grown up in Ohio but decided to go to boarding school on the east coast for high school and then I try to spend my summers in Wyoming and Idaho. This past summer I worked at a bakery/cafe with some friends in Idaho hiking, camping, and biking any time we had time off. We were always getting outside and most of our camping nights began with running away from work in the afternoon rushing to pack the car and then returning in the morning for our shifts. It may not have been our best idea but nothing beats roasting hotdogs over a fire and seeing shooting stars in the Milky Way.

I am taking this semester off to get a break from the stress of school, slow down a bit and take an alternative route before starting college. So I am very excited to be traveling and learning about peru/bolivia and the people, food, mountains, amazon, language etc. I chose this course to get out of my comfort zone with all of you and hopefully learn some spanish. Currently I speak absolutely no spanish so any help/teaching will be greatly appreciated. I can’t wait to begin exploring with all of you!

See you all soon!
