I know I’m a little late with this intro but better late than never! My name is Carolina and I graduated from high school in Vermont last spring. I’ll be attending the University of Denver but I decided to take a gap year so I could travel and learn a little more about myself and what I want to do with my life. I studied Mandarin in high school and fell in love with the language, culture, and people after visiting China my junior year.
I’m not sure what I want to study in college, there’s too many choices! I like science (mostly bio/environmental), creative writing, and I’m passionate about foreign language. My mom spoke French to me growing up, and I studied both Spanish and Mandarin in high school. My Mandarin is okay but my Spanish es muy mal.
In my free time, I like to read, explore (the picture above is from a recent caving trip to Belize), watch low-budget horror movies, play ice hockey, dance badly, and eat (I’m excited that so many of you share this interest)! I also love animals and nature but sadly they don’t love me back. I’m allergic to pretty much all creatures and most everything in nature as well. 🙁
I can’t wait to meet you all! I’m flying directly to China from the east coast so I’ll see you in Beijing!
