Homestay vibing

I feel so grateful to have the chance to immerse myself in Nepali family life. I truly feel treated as one of their own through my differences. We laugh and communicate with ease, even through the barrier of language. When I was sick, I was taken care of similar to how my own mother would care for me. The care, consideration, kindness, generosity are a true beauty to see and experience. Nepal’s culture in my observations prolongates youthfulness and family life in such a divine way, postponing this individualistic separateness that can be so freeing, yet hold a certain amount of pressure to such in the states.  I am thankful for the warmth, kindness, challenges and continuous giggles.
