Orientation update!

We are currently in Ollantaytambo doing a scavenger hunt. We just finished exploring the incredible ruins that tower over the city and our next objectives is to find and internet cafe and make a post about orientation (which I am doing right now!). Over the past few days we have been staying in a place called Las Challupas, outside Urubamba. We have discussed how to create a  healthy group culture, what some local customs are, what ¨learning service¨ is, and our program FOI.

In addition to these workshops, we have also gone hiking, lazed around in hammocks, practiced our Spanish, and eaten some incredible food.  Probably the highlight for me was when we were exploring Urubamba, and I had a long conversation with Domingo in the plaza. He explainexd to me the history of the town, its Incan root, its agricultural prominance, and how the city has changed since he was a child.

Well my time is running out and we have to try and check off a few more things before we head back to Las Challupas. We leave for out trek soon to Machu Picchu and I am beyond excited!
