Transitions

We trekked through the Amboro National Park during this past weekend. From there w took a bus from Buena Vista, Santa Cruz to Cochabamba. We arrived on Monday to our extended homestay location, Tiquipaya.  Since then we have all been settling into our homestay locations.

Students began Spanish lessons on Tuesday, which take place every day in the morning. ISP’s (Independent Study Project: cooking, dance, silversmithing, etc) also started on Wednesday and today in the afternoon we will go for our second session. We will spend all next week here, doing Spanish lessons in the morning and in the afternoons: Monday, Wednesday and Friday; ISP. Tuesday and Thursday we will have guest speakers, talking to us about Andean spirituality and the Cochabamba water wars and how they relate to current issues.
