High Altitude Trekkin!!

Hello everybody!! Today has been our first recovery day at a nice low altitude of 11,200 ft. We’ve been hanging around Cuzco finding cool places and good food around the city. The trek around the enormous mountains and Ausangate was absolutely unreal. We got to see many different colored, beautiful glacial lakes and some pretty funny looking animals. Our max altitude was at 16,500 feet where at night you feel like you can almost touch the stars. The planets, Milky Way, and thousands of stars wrapped around the entire sky which was something I am so so happy to have experienced. We are only a few days away from starting a homestay in Tiquipaya just 40 minutes away from the sprawling city of Cochabamba, Bolivia. We are all super excited to meet these families and live alongside them for three and a half weeks.
