I just wanted to let you know that the team left Vientiane yesterday (21 Oct) and are now safe in our rural Laos homestay on the island of Baan Don Dohn, that is situated near Thaket in Southern Laos.
While there is phone service in the community, 2G and 3G is limited/patchy, so the students will mostly be unplugged for the next two weeks or more. This will no doubt give our group a chance to truly unplug and settle into the slow pace of life on the island (which, in comparison to their course thus far, will be a real change of pace!).
The Yak Board will be the place to watch for comms and photos. And if anyone would like to contact anyone on the program please feel free to send me an email to [email protected], and I’ll get a message to the team to facilitate a call home.
Thank you all for your patience and ongoing support.
