Departing for Nacion Q’eros

Hi families,

It’s been a blur since we departed Bolivia just a few short days ago! Students are already missing their families in El Alto but they’ve had a blast exploring the city of Cusco and are settling into our last month together in the sacred valley in Peru.

Tomorrow morning, we depart from Ocongate (2.5 hours from Cusco) on our five day trek in Nacion Q’eros to spend time in this unique community descending from the Inca. Together we will learn more about Andean cosmovision, participate in ceremony’s to Pachamama, learn some Quechua, and play soccer in the Peruvian highlands. We will trek between homes and communities within Nacion Q’eros until arriving back in Cusco on Saturday evening.

We will update again with plenty of photos and stories when we are back in Cusco on Saturday.

Ciao for now,

The I-team
