Hello. We are back on. Going back in time to December 27th, our last day in Taipei. We spent the day being SUPER tourists hitting up all the best spots to see the last bits of the city. We spent the first half of the day at the national palace seeing the most beautiful art work- pottery, calligraphy, sculpture and much more. We were even able to see the Mona Lisa of Asia, the Jadeite cabbage. Thrilling. I personally think the crowd and chaos surrounding the cabbage was more entertaining, but that’s just me. Then we hurried back into the bus, and headed to the University District. We walked around ate, shopped and pranced through the university. I picked up some clothing in local hipster shops, and got to see Taipei’s interpretation of HipHop in the University’s quad. THEN we headed to the Mecca of teen shopping according to our New Taiwanese teen friends- XiMenDing. This was another night market, however a bit more boisterous. We ran around trying to get a last taste of the street food, and continued to attempt using our bartering skills. I was very overwhelmed, as it felt like the Taiwanese Times Square, with large lights, ads and shopping. It was very exhilarating. ζˆ‘ι—¨ηˆ±ε°ι…!!!!
