Hello! I’m Emma and the first thing that you’ll notice about me is that I’m ridiculously tall (6 feet to be exact) so don’t be surprised when you first see me!

Two summers ago, I tackled a short hiking trip in the White Mountains of New Hampshire that I was definitely not prepared for. The trip tested my physical and mental strength, but also opened a sense of awakening inside me way up in the mountains. Even with blisters the size of quarters on my heels, I felt more alive than ever before. I started chasing adventure and grew to love backpacking.

I fell in love with nature once I understood how immense and beautiful Earth is. It makes me feel humble to bow down to the trees or to bathe in canyon dirt. I am incredibly excited to be close to the wild again, because stripping myself of luxury to survive on bare necessities is a way of life that fascinates me.

I am also eager to get to know all of you! There is something so special about small groups, because we will see each other at our best and our worst. I can’t wait to learn through experience and grow beside all of you.

Much love,

– Emma
