Instructor Intro

Hi Students!

My name is Henry and will be one of your instructors! I am writing you on a rainy day from my cozy couch in Rotterdam (The Netherlands), and I am excited to soon be in Cusco with you all.

I spent most of my childhood in Bolivia but also lived in Guatemala, Senegal, Belgium, the Netherlands, the United States, and Burkina Faso. After finishing my bachelors degree in the US I joined the Peace Corps and lived in a small village in Burkina Faso for 2.5 years. After this experience (and being exposed to cultures so vastly different from each other), I had a lot of questions and I decided that a Masters degree in Cultural Anthropology might have the answers. I was wrong – after completing the program I have even more questions. Maybe we will answer some of these questions during our time together?

I’m trying to picture what you will look like walking off the plane. Some of you will likely look a bit different from the passport pictures I have seen! I hope to see through your expressions that you are nervous, excited, and ready to start your time in Peru and maybe even Bolivia. You should be nervous and excited, this is a truly unique experience you are embarking on. I could go on and on about the wonderful things you will experience during your time with Dragons but I’d rather just leave it to you to see it first hand. That being said if you have any questions feel free to email me at [email protected]

Make sure to enjoy the next weeks before boarding your flights! And please let us know more about you because in the case of your passport pictures, they are not worth a thousand words.

Hasta pronto!
