Red

When I think of China, I see the color red. I see a landscape of different shades and hues of red, scarlet and crimson: from mouth-numbing Sichuan peppers, the 100-yuan note, faded slogans daubed on village walls, to the elaborate architecture on temple buildings, the color red can be seen from every corner of every street. But it is especially during this time of year that the color red is particularly vibrant: Spring Festival.
