Our three Indonesia ISE students have arrived safely in Jogya and are now settled into their hotel in Kaliurang (which is about an hour outside of the city). After a long journey the students are a bit tired, but are in good spirits.
Starting tomorrow (Thursday), Lutfi, the student’s On Site Coordinator, will commence a three day orientation to ensure the students know how to stay safe while on course and engage with Indonesian people and culture in a culturally sensitive manner. The group will also be able to relax and catch up on sleep before meeting their host families on Sunday. Bahasa Indonesia classes begin on Monday as well as ISPs early next week 🙂
