And like that, the group is off for the start of the Rio Grande Semester! It was a smooth travel day to Denver/Boulder, which allowed the group to load up their 2 vehicles on time and head to the mountains at 3:30pm MST for their group orientation. They’ll spend the next 4 days outside of the mountain town of Fraser, CO (most well known for being the home of the Winter Park ski resort) where they’ll get to know each other better and begin to prepare for the journey to come. After all of the uncertainty and preparation to get here, it was such a joy to see Lorelei, Mare, Anna, Will, Mae, Isabella, David, Ethan, Cam, Mateo, Charlotte, and Rachel finally together as a group. Your instructors, Maddie, Kevin, and Zack, have spent the last 10 days in Boulder working long hours to get all the final details right for this moment. 2020 has been a challenging year for us all and we hope that this inaugural Rio Grande Semester is an opportunity to shine the light of hope, joy, and community into a brighter future. Thank you for trusting Dragons with your child. We are here to support the group, and you, along the journey ahead.
