Today I met the group in Grand Lake near the western entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park where the group came out of the wilderness. The group was all smiles after an incredible trek and some long days on the trail. I brought the group their post trek supplies, clean cloths, and a few surprise apple and cherry pies and fresh fruit juices. The pies didn’t stand a chance!
Tomorrow they will continue to learn about the Colorado River Basin and the source of the river. They will tour Grand Lake and the Big Thompson Project that brings water from the western slope to front range cities via the Adams Tunnel.
Stay tuned for photos and stories from their trek!
