For the past week, I have been staying with the family of Dona Pilar and Don Felix. They are amazing people. I also stayed with their three kids: Alfredo, Sergio, and Nadid. The two boys are in university studying to be an engineer and a career in economics, but they both love to cook. Alfredo is an amazing cook. He made pizza as a special treat for my last night with them, and it was incredible. Throughout my stay, they made some crazy good dishes and gave me so many ideas on what to cook when I get home. Apart from cooking and just hanging out altogether, I also learned about their business in agriculture. They taught me how to pick spinach, onions, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, mint, lemons, and more. They ate a lot of the stuff they grew, so there was no shortage of vegetables at my house, but they also sold a lot of the produce they grew because it was their main source of income. I went to market with them and helped sell the products, and I got to see and experience their regular routine. I loved it, they made me feel so welcomed, and we just had a blast all together. I am really going to miss them, and I hope to see them again soon in the future.
