Our second day of trek in Lares

July 9th

Today, to say the least, was intense and frustrating. The hike was extremely challenging, but it was rewarding. We got to see some breathtaking views and participated in a ceremony at a crazy sacred place to Andean Spirituality.

After what seemed like a hundred hours and miles of uphill, we started going down to our campsite! There were lots of intense moments during our trek through the mountains. We saw some sick views, though.

When we reached the campsite, we made dinner –which was probably the worst pasta ever humanly made. It created some good memories and tears, though. Then, we went to sleep in freezing temperatures, and that was the day!

We are all doing alright now and are excited for another day of hiking!
